We are delighted to announce that our Oxfordshire home Hillcrest Steps has been awarded Community of Communities accreditation.
Steps had been part of the peer review cycle within Community of Communities for 5 years. This has helped drive therapeutic practise and given a framework within which the home can work effectively.
Going for Accreditation status seemed like the natural step for Hillcrest Steps. It was a rigorous and challenging process, but after the evidence was presented to the panel in April, they were informed that they had met all the core standards and were awarded accreditation status.
Sadie Dangerfield Home Manager had this to say: “This is an exciting bench mark within the sector and we are delighted that the hard work preparing has paid off. The children were involved in the day. This encourages them to consider why we work in the way that we do encourages compassion and empathy as well as peer t peer relationships.”
